These results present the experimentally measured magnetic field distribution in an imploding Z-pinch gas-puff plasma without an impinged B_z, with intent to verify models estimating the implosion speed, dynamics, and current distribution in these gas-puff Z-pinches. In the search for spectroscopically viable species, both carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas puffs are considered.
