Temperature Evolution of the Speed of Sound from Heavy Ion Collisions using Trajectum – a Heavy Ion Collision Model*

Hydrodynamical collision models, such as Trajectum, enable the study of the physical and thermodynamic properties of strongly-intereacting nuclear matter under extreme conditions and the generation of observables under experimental constraints. In this study, we replicate the conditions of the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) to investigate the thermodynamic properties of the quark gluon plasma (QGP) produced in Au+Au collisions at \sqrt{s_{NN}} = 200, 54.4, 27, 19.6, and 7.7 GeV. This approach provides a probe of thermodynamic state variables - particularly the speed of sound c_s^2 - for future comparisons with STAR measurements, continuing the tradition of mapping the temperature evolution of the nuclear phase diagram.
