In this talk, we examine an implementation of a cavity dual-rail qubit and provide an overview of auxiliary sources of dephasing, as well as methods by which we can suppress these channels. We then implement these techniques to peel back the curtain of photon loss and extrinsic dephasing, revealing improved measurements for coherence in the dual-rail subspace.
