However, a significant drawback is the use of hazardous solvents in the fabrication of solution-processed OSCs. By utilising halogenated solvents that are frequently employed, one might get exceptionally effective devices. We endeavour to substitute halogenated solvents with eco-friendly solvents to fabricate environmentally sustainable organic solar cells. We have successfully attained a similar level of efficiency in organic solar cells that use green solvents compared to those that use halogenated solvents, using the inverted device structure ITO/ZnO/PTB7-Th: PC71BM/MoO3/Ag. We are also examining the additional electrical and optical properties of the Green solvent-treated OSCs to make comparisons with the well-researched ODCB-processed solvents.
