The generation of photonic graph states using T-center defects in silicon*

The generation of all-optical graph states using quantum emitters is a central building block for many important applications, such as quantum communication and measurement-based quantum computation. Silicon-based quantum emitters are especially relevant, as they comprise a powerful spin-photon interface, especially when combined with current silicon photonics. Of particular interest in recent years has been the T-center defect in silicon, as its excitation energy is in the telecommunication O-band, which makes it advantageous for optical fiber transfer of photons. In this work, we consider the experimental potential of generating one- and two-dimensional cluster states using T-centers. We use the time-bin encoding of emitted photons by implementing cavity-enhanced transitions and evaluate the fidelities of the resulting cluster states.
