In this presentation the speaker will discuss specific case studies focused on mobilizing and accelerating entrepreneurs throughout the world and identify opportunities that exist for influencing new models of economic growth. In particular he will highlight the unique importance and opportunities for scientists to participate well beyond their contributions to the basic science that informs these technologies. The case studies will speak to pressing global problems such as ocean plastics, climate change and social justice.
