During 2020, we migrated to digital format, facing access issues for students from low-income sectors. The activities have been graded to deliver appropriate content to their grade, level, and the context in a ludic manner, acquiring valuable scientific knowledge.
Before 2020, we outreach over 5000 students, 1500 teachers, and the public. The program was recognized from Reimagine Education 2018 and a finalist in the Falling Walls Science Engage 2020. The digital format has allowed us to reach almost 10,000 persons in 7 months and to deliver personalized workshops for our pilot schools. Students participate as speakers in international conferences, developing leadership, scientific, and communication skills.
*Acknowledgments to the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala for the support to fully fund the program, including expert visits and materials.
