vortex ring structure and low-energy excitations. In particular spin-1 condensates shows the presence of an `Alice ring` in early stages of the decay process. Finally, we conclude that studying the decay mechanism of non-trivial spin textures is an intriguing test of the underlying symmetry of spin Bose-Einstein condensates.
