A DMRG study of the extended Hubbard model on the triangular lattice*

Moire systems provide a rich platform for studies of strong correlation physics. A recent experiment with transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) bilayer realized an experimental simulation of the extended Hubbard model on a triangular lattice[1]. Inspired by this experiment, we explore the charge order phenomena of the extended Hubbard model on the triangular lattice using the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG).
