In part I, we will present the design, fabrication and linear characterization of the SNAIL TWPA and discuss the new phase matching approach based on the sign-reversal of the Kerr non-linearity.
In part II, we will present the gain and noise performance of the SNAIL TWPA, and discuss the advantages of our novel approach for applications in circuit-QED.
