Absorption spectra and density of states of cubic Frenkel exciton system with Gaussian diagonal disorder*

We used the coherent potential approximation to investigate the density of states and the optical absorption of Frenkel exciton systems in cubic lattices with nearest neighbor interactions and a Gaussian diagonal disorder. Our results for the simple cubic are in good agreement with previous investigations using finite-array calculations.
