Scholarly metrics play a significant role in the way scientists and their research are assessed for funding, hiring, and promotion. The APS editors will host a special session in which three panelists with experience in university administration, bibliometrics research, computational social science, and science policy will present their perspectives on scholarly metrics and research assessment.
