MnBi₂Te₄ has been extensively investigated recently as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator. This compound also shows a strong correlation between structural, magnetic, and transport properties. In this talk, I will present our work on how the stacking of septuple (MnBi₂Te₄) and quintuple (Bi₂Te₃) layers, chemical doping, high pressure, and antisite defects affect the magnetic properties. I will also discuss how these results can guide us fine-tuning the magnetism for desired topological phenomena.
