We investigate their non-linear flow response combining experiments, numerics and lubrication theory. We
demonstrate that softness, structural asymmetry and geometric nonlinearities govern the fluid-structure interaction,
and give rise to a tunable nonlinear flow response. Our work provides a fundamental understanding of how lymphatic system operate and lays the foundation for a novel generation fluidic metamaterials.
