We study suppression of magnetization tunneling in nanomagnetic systems coupled to the Josephson φ₀ junction. Employing spin coherent state path integral method, we find that the tunnel splitting is topologically quenched by the bias current applied to the junction as well as an external magnetic field along the hard axis. Considering tunnel splitting as a function of the current, we show that the quenching period is controlled by the external magnetic field and the number of frozen points decreases with increasing the magnetic field. The condition for switching from oscillations to the monotonic growth of the tunnel splitting is presented.
