FIAP and APS Careers will host a special lunchtime session in which representatives from industry will briefly describe their career path and answer questions about physics careers in the private sector. Topics will include work opportunities for physicists in industry, strategies for successfully pursuing industrial jobs, and advice on how to thrive in this exciting and challenging work environment.
The panelists this year are:
Mike Matthews - Director of Inertial Navigation at AOSense
Alexa Staley - Quantum Engineer at Rigetti Computing
Daniel Sank - Quantum Electronics Engineer at Google
Christy Tyberg - Manager, Novel Computing Technologies at IBM Research
Note that this session will be held in the JW Marriott Hotel, not the Convention Center. Join us for a slice of pizza and gain many useful insights into this career path.
