Quantum Transport Study of the Type-II Dirac Semimetal VAl<sub>3</sub>

The transition-metal icosagenides VAl₃ was predicted to be a Lorentz-violating type-II Dirac semimetal. We report the quantum transport study of VAl₃ single crystals in magnetic fields up to 38 T. The Shubnikov-de Hass (SdH) oscillations of the longitudinal resistance are clearly observed at low temperatures. By analyzing the SdH oscillations, we obtain the Fermi surface area and compare it with the band structure calculations. We further discuss its topological property.
