lattice based on the Kibble-Zurek out-of-equilibrium mechanism. By using Monte Carlo
simulation with the Metropolis algorithm, the system is annealed from a high temperature
down to the critical temperature, which in this system is exactly T=0. We follow
finite-size scaling procedures recently developed for the 2D Ising spin glass [1],
where also Tc=0. Our aim is to quantify entropy-driven relaxation (e.g., extract the
corresponding dynamic critical exponent) in a system with a highly degenerate ground
state, and to this end we perform the analysis of the energy and the order parameter
based on several system sizes and annealing velocities.
