Overview of the Modeling and Theory Projects at the Princeton Collaborative Research Facility (PCRF) for Low-Temperature Plasma Science*

Since inception in 2019 the Princeton Collaborative Low-Temperature Plasma Research Facility (PCRF) offers user support in experimental and modeling research efforts. For modeling support we provide users access to the PPPL modeling codes:   EDIPIC-2D, and LTP-PIC 3D, codes for quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, and gas phase chemistry, notably,  models for methane pyrolysis soot generation.  We also provide theory support for users who prefer to use their own codes. Examples of successful projects that produced unexpected results thanks to mutually beneficial collaboration between PPPL and users will be given. Learned from years of experience strategies for successful projects will be discussed.
