Design and Experimental Demonstration of a Combined Electron Beam and X-Ray Profiler for Repetition Rated High-Energy-Density Physics Experiments at GALADRIEL**

Petawatt-class, short-pulse laser facilities can deliver high intensity pulses at greater than 1 Hz repetition rate, enabling advanced particle acceleration mechanisms critical to studies in fusion or radiobiology, for example. However, many conventional diagnostics rely on single use recording media that limit shot rate. To take full advantage of these laser systems, diagnostics must be upgraded from single-shot operation to comparable high repetition rates of the laser system. Here, scintillating fiber arrays placed between metal energy filters over a CCD chip were employed as a novel, flexible electron and bremsstrahlung x-ray beam profiler diagnostic capable of spatially resolved, multi-spectral imaging for low energy (<5MeV) electron beam sources. Geant4 was used to simulate particle interactions and trajectories, filter transmission profiles, and energy deposition profiles in the scintillating fiber arrays. These simulations informed the diagnostic design, characterized the detector response, and help to interpret experimental data that will be shown and discussed.
