In this presentation, I will discuss how the familiar three-peak structure—one central Rayleigh peak and two Brillouin peaks—of the DSF arising in an unmagnetized, high-density plasma transforms into a five-peak structure—one central Rayleigh peak and two pairs of peaks associated with fast and slow magnetosonic waves—when a finite ambient magnetic field is included. What is truly captivating is how the Bohm contribution reshapes the landscape, tweaking the positions and characteristics of the peaks in unexpected ways. From boosting thermal pressure to altering the adiabatic index, the Bohm effect leaves its indelible mark on the DSF, opening avenues for a deeper understanding of plasma physics. The findings not only pave the way for advanced theoretical insights but also set the stage for groundbreaking experiments at cutting-edge laser facilities.
