experiment planning and locating adjacent operational points during experiment, and to guide the initial phase of conceptual design of future fusion research facilities by extrapolating from
experimental data. The model goes beyond similar codes by supporting more detailed profile options, incorporating the equilibrium code EFIT and Sauter model for more accurate bootstrap
current estimation, using ADAS data for radiation calculation, and evaluating divertor detachment and heat loads. Profile scaling options have been refined to enable the code to produce more physically realistic outputs. Benchmark tests have confirmed a significant improvement in the accuracy of the code when compared to its traditional counterparts for ITB, negative triangularity, and conventional H-mode type plasmas on DIII-D. A 0-D study of potential parameters in the CAT-DEMO-like [R. J. Buttery, Nucl. Fusion 61 (2021) 046028] compact fusion pilot plants will also be presented.
