where unknown contribution of eddy currents in conducting structures is replaced by a set
of time independent basis contributions with adjusted weights for better fit of measurements.
reconstruction technique targets reconstruction of plasma profiles using
The response function technique, developed for LTX-B allows to eliminate the
eddy currents using their full time history. In addition to numerical technique for simulating
response functions from a set of basis plasma configuration, the same technique allows for
elimination of contribution of the eddy currents, excited by the plasma itself. As a result, the
equioibrium reconstruction in situation with significant eddy current distribution is reduced
to standard thechnique of adjsuting plasma current distribution to the signals from the
equilibrium coil system and plasma. The results of application of this technique for recent
high plasma current discharges on LTX-B are reported.
