The ALICE experiment is ideally suited to explore this due to its excellent particle identification (PID) at low transverse momentum. This study will add insight to the question of the particle-type dependence of the jet energy loss by using the ALICE PID subdetectors to investigate the jet quenching hadrochemistry. In this talk, I will present studies towards comparing species-dependent particle kinematics in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV within a jet and the bulk. This study aims at disentangling the potential effects of modified jet fragmentation in the medium from bulk effects.
