However, the first of these measurements suffered from significant background, setting an upper limit on the strength of resonances that could be studied.
Recently, a Wien Filter was added to the beam line in order to enhance the purity of the beam being sent to the HIPPO helium gas-jet target.
I will discuss the improvements to the 20Ne(α,γ)24 reaction study as a result of this addition.
