Qubit Loading and Operations on a Tweezer Array Based Quantum Computer of Bosonic Strontium*

Within the Neutral Atom Kat-1 Collaboration at the Eindhoven University of Technology, we are developing a neutral-atom hybrid quantum utilising Strontium atoms in a reconfigurable magic-wavelength optical tweezer array as our qubit register. Our array is generated by a phase SLM, with shuttling between sites performed using an AOD. By inducing two-body collisions between atoms held in each tweezer, we can stochastically load single atoms into the SLM traps, and rearrange to a regular array using the AOD steering beam. The ground and clock states of the Sr atoms act as the qubit states in our system, with entangling gates mediated by long-range Rydberg interactions and single qubit rotations performed via direct coherent addressing of the clock transition. This work details current progress in the preparation of the single atom tweezer array, in-trap cooling of our register, and the performed and future characterisation of both the single qubit and multi-qubit operations in our system.
