Following up on last year’s discussions and survey, the DAMOP DEI Committee will facilitate a discussion and listening session centered on the prompt, “Identify one opportunity and one responsibility within DAMOP to ensure diversity and inclusion in the division.”
Participants will be encouraged to break into small groups to discuss the prompt, followed by an opportunity for sharing ideas using submissions to an online comment platform and through large-group discussion. Through this activity, we hope to plant seeds for further conversations throughout the conference, and to take away actionable items for the committee’s ongoing activities. Following this activity (approx. 20 minutes), participants will be invited to informally continue the discussions, socialize, and network over the reception’s food and drinks.
