Optical distribution of single-mode squeezed quadratures into the optomechanical arm of a modular electro-optic transducer.*

A low-loss optical quantum link will aid in the long-distance scalability of superconducting beyond-classical processors. With the intent of realizing such a microwave-optical quantum interconnect between distant superconducting nodes via a modular electro-optomechanical doubly parametric transducer, we implement a single-mode squeezed light source (using a subthreshold optical parametric amplifier) tailored to the operational properties of a single transduction device. We present some models and results on the interaction of the squeezed states with a realistic high-finesse optical cavity composing our type of transducers, where low phase noise and precise quadrature alignment are required. We also discuss some potential effects on the injected squeezed fields when including the ponderomotive squeezing by the membrane in a full optomechanical device.
