This talk will discuss covariance velocity map imaging of strong field molecular ionization with octave spanning shaped laser pulses. Covariance mapping allows for measurements that provide insights usually associated with coincidence detection, but at much higher count rates. In conjunction with electronic structure theory and dynamics calculations, this allows for state resolved measurements of double ionization, and molecular frame reconstruction for coulomb explosion imaging in pump probe experiments.
