Simulating merging binary black holes with SpECTRE*

Binary black holes are among the most important sources of gravitational waves. Interpreting next generation detectors' observations of binary black holes will require model waveforms with significant improvements in accuracy. SpECTRE is a next-generation numerical-relativity code under active development that seeks to achieve high accuracy through combining a discontinuous-Galerkin method with task-based parallelism. In this talk, I will discuss recent progress in evolving merging binary black holes with SpECTRE.
