Heavy quarknoium production at the EIC*

One of the best ways to understand hadronization in QCD is to study the production of quarkonium. The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) will serve as a laboratory to enrich our understanding on quarkonium production beyond hadron-hadron collisions. The color evaporation model (CEM) and Non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) are the most common models employed to describe production yields and spin-related measurements like the polarization. In this talk, we will present the recent model developments of quarkonium production models in preparation of the EIC era.
