V02.00001: Piano Lecture Recital on Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28 Wei-Qin Claire Tang This presentation will feature a lecture introducing the 24 preludes of Frédéric Chopin, including background information as well as the unique musical ideas that led to the creation of this work. This lecture will give the audience insights that can help foster a deeper appreciation and enjoyment of the music. The 24 preludes of Chopin are particularly well suited in that regard, as they cover the whole spectrum of the musical language. They will then be performed in sequential order, while the audience is invited to write their own impressions about each of them. |
