E4.00002: The Global Design Effort for the International Linear Collider Invited Speaker: Building an electron-positron collider to explore the terascale is the long term priority of the worldwide high energy physics community. The International Linear Collider is being developed by a truly global collaboration responsible for developing the technology, developing the design, implementing the project and finally to managing the laboratory. The Global Design Effort has worldwide participation and has been tasked to produce a design and that process has already succeeded in recently released reference design and costing for the ILC that will be followed by an engineering design. The approach being used toward realizing this global project will be presented and discussed. [Preview Abstract] |
