S12.00001: Measurement of the branching fraction of $B^+ \to \rho^+\rho^0$ Katharine Schofield We present a measurement of the branching fraction, the fraction of longitudinally polarized events and charge asymmetry of the decay $B^+ \to \rho^+\rho^0$. The data set for this analysis was recorded with the BaBar detector and corresponds to $210.5~{\rm fb}^{-1}$ (231 million $B\overline{B}$ pairs). [Preview Abstract] |

S12.00002: CP asymmetries in $B\to \pi^{+}\pi^{-} K_S,\, K^{+} K^{-} K_S$ Decays in the $f_0(980)$ Mass Region Rupak Dutta, Susan Gardner We consider the branching ratios and direct and time-dependent asymmetries in $B\to f_0(980) K_S \to (\pi^+\pi^- ,K^+ K^- ) K_S$ decays %in the $f_0(980)$ %mass region to the end of determining the deviation of the time-dependent asymmetry from $\sin(2\beta)$ arising from Standard Model physics. We construct the $f_0(980)$ from isospin-zero $\pi^+\pi^-$ and $K^+K^-$ final states, employing scalar form factors consistent with chiral constraints at low energies and utilize QCD factorization for the $B\to f_0(980) K_S$ decay amplitudes. S12.00003: Study of $CP$ violation in $B^0\rightarrow \pi^0\pi^0 K_{\rm S}^0$ decay at BaBar Mahalaxmi Krishnamurthy We present the measurement of the time-dependent $CP$ asymmetry for the neutral $B$-meson decay into the $CP=+1$ final state $K_ {\rm S}^0 \pi^0 \pi^0$. We use a sample of approximately 227 million $B$-meson pairs recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance by the BaBar detector at the PeP-II $B$-Factory at SLAC. From a maximum likelihood fit we extract the mixing-induced $CP$-violation parameter $S = 0.84\pm 0.71\pm 0.08$ and the direct $CP$-violation parameter $C = 0.27\pm 0.52\pm 0.13$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. We compare intensities of subdecay modes with expectations from related $B$-decay modes [Preview Abstract] |

S12.00004: $B\rightarrow h^+h^-$ results from 360pb$^{-1}$ at CDF Sonia Budroni We report an update of the analysis of $B^0_(s)\rightarrow h^+h'^-$ decays (where h and h$'$ denote K or pi) with 360 pb$^{-1}$ of proton-antiproton collisions at $\sqrt(s)$=1.96 TeV, with the CDF II detector at the Tevatron Collider. The results include a measurement of direct CP-violating asymmetry between $B^0\rightarrow K^+pi^-$ and $\bar{B^0}\rightarrow K^-\pi^+$ decay-rates at the 4\% level, based on a sample of about 1600 events. S12.00005: Study of the $B \to K^{*0} \rho$ modes at BaBar Marc Escalier We present preliminary measurements of branching fraction, polarization and charge asymmetry for the decays $B \to K^{*0}\rho$. We use a data sample of more than 230 million $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$-factory at SLAC. [Preview Abstract] |

S12.00006: Study of the $B \to K^{*+} \rho$ modes at BaBar Woochun Park We present measurements of branching fraction, polarization and direct-CP asymmetry in the charmless B meson decays to final states containing $K^{*\pm}$ and $\rho$ mesons using 205 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric $e^+e^-$ collider at SLAC. S12.00007: $B^+ \rightarrow D^0 K^+$ decays at CDFII Paola Squillacioti The measurement of BRs and asymmetries of $B^\pm \rightarrow D0 K^\pm$ modes is a theoretically clean method for the determination of the CKM angle $\gamma$. We present first results of the analysis of these modes at a hadron collider, from a sample of 360 pb$^-1$ of data collected with the CDFII detector at the Tevatron collider at Fermilab. [Preview Abstract] |

S12.00008: Measurement of time-dependent $CP$ asymmetries in $B^0\rightarrow J/\psi\pi^0$ decays Katherine George We present new results on the measurement of $CP$ asymmetries in $B^0\rightarrow J/\psi \pi^0$ decays using approximately 230 million $\Upsilon(4S)\rightarrow B\bar{B}$ decays collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$ factory. The Cabibbo-suppressed $b\rightarrow ccd$ tree amplitude has a time-dependent asymmetry in these decays that is related to the unitarity triangle angle $\beta$. Penguin amplitudes in these decays contribute at the same order, thus the measured $CP$ asymmetry probes the size of the penguin decay amplitudes. [Preview Abstract] |
