LA.00002: Electrons for neutrinos: leveraging electron scattering data to constrain neutrino interactions Invited Speaker: Adi Ashkenazi The ability of current and next generation accelerator based neutrino oscillation measurements to reach their desired sensitivity heavily relies on proper modelling of neutrino-nucleus interactions and the reconstruction of the incident neutrino energy from the measured final state particles. Using wide phase-space electron scattering data, collected using the CLAS spectrometer at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab), we studied the reconstruction of the incoming lepton energy from the measured final state. Disagreements with current event generators, used in neutrino oscillation measurements, are observed which indicate possible underestimation of nuclear effects. The impact of these findings on bias in oscillation analyses will be discussed. |

LA.00003: Nuclear observables to constrain neutrinoless double-beta decay Invited Speaker: Javier Menendez Observing neutrinoless double-beta (0nbb) decay is the most promising way to detect lepton number violation in the laboratory, and it would imply that neutrinos are its own antiparticle. The decay half-life naturally depends on a nuclear matrix element that needs to be calculated theoretically. A good knowledge of this matrix element is key for the planning of 0nbb decay experiments, and also to extract information on the neutrino mass once 0nbb decay is observed. |

LA.00004: Latest results of CP violation measurement by long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments Invited Speaker: Takeshi Nakadaira Current accelerator-based long baseline neutrino experiments in Japan and US are aiming to search for the CP violation in lepton sector and to determine the mass hierarchy of neutrinos by comprehensive measurements of the neutrino oscillation and antineutrino oscillation. In this talk, the latest results of the T2K experiment in Japan that indicates the CP asymmetry between neutrino and antineutrino and the latest results of the NOvA that is the first evidence of the oscillation from muon antineutrinos to electron antineutrinos will be reviewed. T2K and NOvA are complementary to each other because the measurements with different baseline length is expected to disentangle the CP violation effect and the matter effect in the neutrino oscillation. The future prospects of the T2K, NOvA and the future experiments in US and JP are also reviewed. The US-JP joint R&D of the high-intensity neutrino beam that is one of the most important technology for the current and future long-baseline experiments will be also reported. |
