FC.00001: Amplitude analysis of $J/\psi \to \gamma\pi^0\pi^0$ Alessandro Pilloni The radiative decays of the $J/\psi$ are of great importance for the search and the identification of the scalar glueball. We discuss an amplitude analysis for the $J/\psi$ radiative decay to $\pi^0\pi^0$, and apply the formalism to the data recently published by BESIII. [Preview Abstract] |

FC.00002: Photoproduction of JPsi at GlueX Kamal Seth We propose to measure photoproduction of $J/\psi$ using the photon beam at GlueX produced by 12 GeV electrons. Existing measurements at SLAC lead to the expectation that $J/\psi$ can be produced at GlueX with photon energy ranging from 8.4--11.8 GeV. The measurement will enable us to distinguish between $J/\psi$ production due to two or three gluons interacting with the proton target. Data taken recently with 12 GeV electrons is being analyzed to confirm the expected production of $J/\psi$ decaying into $e^+e^-$. [Preview Abstract] |

FC.00004: K-Long Facility for JLab and its Scientific Potential Igor Strakovsky Our main interest in creating a secondary high-quality KL beam is to investigate hyperon spectroscopy through both formation and production processes. We propose to study two body and quasi-two-body reactions induced by the KL beam on the proton target. The experiment should measure both differential cross sections and self-analyzed polarizations of the produced Lambda-, Sigma-, and Xi-hyperons using the GlueX setting at the Jefferson Lab Hall D. New data will greatly constrain partial-wave analysis and reduce model-dependent uncertainties in the extraction of strange resonance properties, providing a new benchmark for comparisons with QCD-inspired models and LQCD calculations. The measurements will span c.m. $\backslash $cos$\backslash $theta from -0.95 to 0.95 in c.m. range above W $=$ 1490 MeV.~ [Preview Abstract] |

FC.00005: Antikaon-nucleon scattering and the hyperon spectrum C\'esar Fern\'andez-Ram\'irez I present the results of a coupled-channel model for $\bar{K}N$ scattering in the resonance region. The model fulfills unitarity, has the correct analytical properties for the amplitudes and the partial waves have the right threshold behavior. The parameters of the model have been established by fitting single-energy partial waves up to $J=7/2$ and up to 2.15 GeV of center-of-mass energy. The Lambda and Sigma spectra have been obtained, providing a comprehensive picture of the $S=-1$ hyperon spectrum. [Preview Abstract] |

FC.00006: Performance of the GlueX Polarized Photon Source Richard Jones A polarized photon source based on collimated coherent bremsstrahlung from a 12 GeV electron beam incident on an oriented diamond crystal has been constructed for the GlueX experiment in Hall D at Jefferson Lab. Commissioning of the source took place during the period February-April, 2016, successfully demonstrating the achievement of key performance parameters. An overview of these results will be given, and comparisons made with the predictions based on a detailed model of the beam and the coherent bremsstrahlung process in diamond. [Preview Abstract] |
