B2.00001: AAPT Workshop W1: Using CD Hover Pucks to Explore Newton’s 1st and 2nd Law of Motion Paul Williams, Karen Jo Matsler Hover pucks made from CD’s dish soap lids, and balloons can be constructed for under a dollar. They can be run over hard smooth surfaces with very low friction for several seconds. In this workshop we will explore activities with CD hover pucks on flat and inclined surfaces to explore Newton’s 1st and 2nd Laws of Motion. [Preview Abstract] |
