In this talk we will present a new and novel concept, known as Q-Pix, for measuring the ionization charge left behind when a neutrino interacts with a nuclei. This readout technique provides native 3D information and low-energy detection thresholds allowing the future neutrino experiments to see interactions at the edge of detection. This talk will provide an overview of the Q-Pix architecture, some preliminary results based on early prototypes, and outline the path ahead for realizing this new detector technology.
