Black Hole Accretion Disk Density Profiles Affect on Photon Energy Distributions*

We investigate the impact of density variations in black hole accretion disk winds on the energy distribution of X-ray photons through Compton scattering in the context of active galactic nuclei (AGNs). Using Monte Carlo simulations, we demonstrate that denser winds lead to increased scattering events resulting in enhanced down-scattering. This process causes a broadening of the intrinsically monochromatic photon energy, characterized by a red shift. Our results highlight the significant role of winds in shaping the spectral features of accreting supermassive black hole systems, providing insights into the interpretation of observed AGN spectra and the underlying physical nature of disk winds.
