Correlated Thermoelectric Transport and Magnetic Ordering in Eu₅In₂Sb₆*

Recently, many magnetic metals have been found to exhibit large anomalous Hall and Nernst effects (AHE/ANE) originating from Berry curvature. Theory further predicts that the ANE can be strongly enhanced when the carrier density is very low. Despite this expectation, experimental studies in the low-carrier regime remain scarce due to the lack of suitable materials. To address this challenge, we investigated the thermoelectric transport properties of Eu₅In₂Sb₆ single crystals, which undergo a field-induced insulator-to-metal transition. Temperature- and field-dependent measurements of the Seebeck and Nernst coefficients reveal pronounced sensitivity to antiferromagnetic ordering, with variations exceeding a few orders of magnitude. These results identify Eu₅In₂Sb₆ as a promising platform to explore correlated thermoelectric phenomena and to search for an optimal balance between electrical conductivity and thermoelectric response for achieving a high power factor.
