O01.00001: The Proton Radius Puzzle: Experimental Status and Outlook Invited Speaker: Dipangkur Dutta The proton is the dominant ingredient of visible matter in the Universe. Consequently, determining the proton's basic properties such as its charge radius, rp, has attracted tremendous interest in its own right. An accurate knowledge of rp is essential for understanding how the strong interaction works in the confinement region. It also has a major impact on the precise determination of the Rydberg constant, a fundamental constant. The 2010 muonic hydrogen spectroscopy based measurements of rp with its unprecedented less than 0.1\% precision triggered the well-known ``proton radius puzzle'' in nuclear and atomic physics. Since then a number of new spectroscopy and lepton scattering experiments have been performed or are currently underway. Several more experiments have been proposed. I will review the experimental status and discuss the prospects of future experiments. [Preview Abstract] |

O01.00002: Recent Results from the Gluonic eXcitation Experiment (GlueX) at JLab Invited Speaker: Chandrasekhar Akondi The GlueX experiment, located at Jefferson lab, uses a beam of linearly polarized photons produced through bremsstrahlung with a coherent peak at 9 GeV, incident on a liquid hydrogen target. Various detectors cover almost 4$\pi$ acceptance and detect almost all neutral and charged particles produced in a photoproduction reaction. The primary physics goals of GlueX are to find and study the properties of mesons, and baryons containing strange quarks. This talk will give a brief overview of the current physics results such as polarization observables, and cross section measurements obtained from the Phase -I GlueX data. [Preview Abstract] |

O01.00003: Status of the MUSE experiment at PSI Alexander Golossanov It is rare to have a discrepancy in such a fundamental property as the proton size, and yet during the past decade measurements of proton charge radius using muon and electron have disagreed by several standard deviations. The MUon proton Scattering Experiment (MUSE) at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland aims to shed more light on this puzzle, by measuring the elastic scattering of muon and electron (and their antimatter counterparts) on protons in one apparatus. An overview of the puzzle and the status of the MUSE experiment will be presented. [Preview Abstract] |

O01.00004: Measurement of Beam Asymmetry t-Dependence of a Photoproduced $\eta'$ off the Proton at GlueX Churamani Paudel, Joerg Reinhold The GlueX experiment is a photoproduction experiment which is located at Thomas Jefferson National Lab in Newport News, Virginia. We report on measurements of the beam asymmetry ($\Sigma$) in the reaction $\gamma p\rightarrow \eta' p$, using a tagged, linearly polarized 9 GeV photon beam incident on a liquid hydrogen target. A previous measurement, which was limited to momentum transfer up to $-t=0.9 $ (GeV/c)$^2$, indicated that the reaction mechanism is dominated by $\rho$ and $\omega$ meson exchanges [1]. Use of higher statistics will allow us to study whether this holds true at higher momentum transfer.
