D02.00001: Measuring coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering with COHERENT Invited Speaker: Dan Pershey The coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) process was first observed in 2017 by the COHERENT collaboration using a low background, 14.6 kg CsI[Na] detector using a stopped pion source at the SNS. We cover COHERENT’s ongoing effort to further measure CEvNS on a variety of nuclear targets, including a new CEvNS result using an argon target. \\ CEvNS is a powerful tool to study nuclear structure, stellar astrophysics, and the nature of the weak force. We also discuss the role of CEvNS measurements in constraining physics beyond the standard model along with COHERENT sensitivity to test anomalies currently observed across high energy physics. In particular, we highlight the advantage of CEvNS detectors in searching for sub-GeV dark matter. A modest-scale argon detector would test cosmologically observed dark matter concentration using an accelerator-produced flux over parameter space complementary to direct detection experiments. D02.00002: Latest three-flavor neutrino oscillation results from NOvA Invited Speaker: Gavin Davies The NOvA experiment is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment that uses the upgraded NuMI beam from Fermilab to detect both electron appearance and muon disappearance. NOvA employs two functionally identical detectors: a Near Detector, located at Fermilab, and a Far Detector, located at Ash River, Minnesota over an 810 km baseline. NOvA's primary physics goals include precision measurements of neutrino oscillation parameters, such as the large neutrino mixing angle and the atmospheric mass-squared splitting, along with probes of the mass hierarchy and the CP-violating phase. This talk will present the latest NOvA measurements of the neutrino oscillation parameters using neutrino and antineutrino disappearance and appearance. [Preview Abstract] |

D02.00003: The Short-Baseline Neutrino Program at Fermilab Invited Speaker: Vishvas Pandey The Short-Baseline Neutrino (SBN) program consists of three liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) detectors located in the Booster Neutrino Beam-line (BNB) at Fermi National Accelerator Lab. The program's primary goals include searches for new and rare physics processes including eV-scale sterile neutrinos, a detailed study of neutrino-argon cross sections at the GeV energy scale, and to further develop the liquid argon technology for the future long-baseline neutrino experiment DUNE. In this talk, I will discuss the physics potential of the program, its current status and ongoing activities. [Preview Abstract] |
