BA.00001: The Promise of the LHC Invited Speaker: The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will provide extraordinary opportunities in particle physics based on its unprecedented collision energy and luminosity when it begins operation in 2007. With its 14 TeV center-of-mass energy and its design luminosity of 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ for proton collisions, far above current collider machines, it should provide a definitive window onto physics at the TeV energy scale, including the nature of electroweak symmetry breaking and possibly a glimpse onto physics beyond the Standard Model as well. To capitalize on the physics opportunities presented by the LHC, two large general-purpose experiments, ATLAS and CMS, are nearing completion. This talk will focus on the physics program of the LHC, from the search for new particles at the TeV energy scale to precision measurements of the Standard Model, and the capabilities and status of the experiments to explore such physics from the very onset of collisions. BA.00002: Current Status of Particle Searches at the B Factories Invited Speaker: The B factories, {\mbox{\slshape B\kern-0.1em{\smaller A}\kern-0.1em B\kern-0.1em{\smaller A\kern-0.2em R}}} and Belle, are well known for their contributions to the understanding of CP violation. Efficient 4$\pi$ detectors and large integrated luminosities, combined with the very clean event structure found in $e^+e^-$ collisions create an environment that is also ideal for particle searches and studies of rare decays. We will review the status of these searches and discuss the properties of some of the new states which have been observed. [Preview Abstract] |

BA.00003: Recent results from CDF and D0 Invited Speaker: I will present recent results from the CDF and D0 experiments at Tevatron. More than inverted femtobarn of data has been delivered to both experiments, and even more is underway. I'll discuss new precision measurements of the SM parameters and searches for phenomena beyond the SM. [Preview Abstract] |
