We present a new application of the diffusion cloud chamber by applying computer vision techniques to the detection and tracking of alpha particles, with the ultimate goal of implementing a real-time cosmic ray tracker with a Raspberry Pi. We describe our algorithm, implementation, and initial results, including observations of a calibrated Po-210 alpha source.
