7C.00001: STEP UP Ambassador Program Workshop Invited Speaker: Bree Barnett Dreyfuss This workshop will cover the developments of the STEP UP project, a national movement focused on sharing research-driven lesson materials and classroom materials with high school physics teachers to help shift views on who does physics. The Ambassador program was developed to reach as many teachers as possible through peer-to-peer introductions to the STEP UP program and lesson materials. Comprised of members from across the country, the first Ambassador cohort has successfully held workshops and recruited teachers to the program, while also providing a wealth of new ideas and heavily influencing our plans moving forward. The lesson development and origins of the Ambassador program will be shared as well as our future plans and how you can help change the future of physics. [Preview Abstract] |
