Comprehensive Triple Source Catalog: Human Vetting and Radii of Curvature Analysis*

The morphology of extragalactic radio jets provides critical insights into active galactic nuclei (AGN) and their environments. In this study, we use the Very Large Array Sky Survey (VLASS). We are using a catalog that was generated automatically using Quicklook images from VLASS data. Using the pre-existing catalog we aim to analyze the structure of radio jets by combining automated computational methods with visual classification using Quicklook images. These images are designed to give us a rapid overview of the survey's observations such as the radio jets, AGN, and other structures. This approach will enable us to create a comprehensive catalog of AGN triples. Our objectives include characterizing the bending of radio jets to infer intergalactic medium (IGM) densities and identifying galaxy over-densities. Additionally, we will investigate whether simplified parameters, such as the angle at which the jets are bent, can accurately estimate more complex measurements, such as the radii of curvature. This could provide a more efficient way to analyze large datasets without compromising the quality of the information obtained. This catalog will provide a rich sample of AGN with classified morphologies, this can then be used to learn about AGN and their environments. The creation of this human-vetted catalog of AGN will also serve as a foundational dataset for future machine-learning studies, which can be used for identifying AGN jets in future radio surveys.
