Angular Phase Boundaries of the Field Polarized Superconducting Phase of UTe<sub>2</sub>

Heavy fermion UTe₂ is a promising candidate for topological superconductivity. It also exhibits multiple superconducting phases that, uniquely, only exist at high magnetic field. One such phase, often referred to as the Lazarus state, is obtained by applying fields of more than 40 T off of the crystallographic axes. Specifically, it has only been observed when the field is oriented between 20 and 40^o from b towards c. Here, we present measurements of the field-angle phase boundaries that motivate a reevaluation of the angular extent of the unusual superconducting state.The observed behavior is inconsistent with known phenomenology for field-enhanced superconductivity.
