Since its establishment in 1954, CERN has played a pivotal role in expanding the frontiers of scientific knowledge and technological innovation in the field of particle physics. Originating from a vision of unity and collaboration in the aftermath of World War II, CERN has grown into a global scientific community, comprising 23 Member States, 10 Associate Member States, and a diverse international community of over 17,000 individuals from more than 110 nationalities. As we celebrate CERN's 70th anniversary, we reflect on our legacy of scientific milestones and our commitment to international cooperation, openness in research, and education in STEM fields. This year's celebrations, under the theme "CERN at 70: Inspiring the Future", are also an opportunity to look forward with anticipation to future horizons in scientific exploration, aiming toward the next 70 years and beyond, to a future where we can explore further into the universe's unresolved mysteries. The anniversary program features a series of events aligned with four main themes: 'Pushing the Frontiers of Science', 'The Virtuous Circle of Science and Technology', 'Uniting Nations through Science', and 'Open Science, Training, and Education'. These events aim to make the fascinating world of particle physics accessible to everyone. In lieu of personal attendance, we will present a 15-minute video highlighting CERN's main scientific and technological milestones over the past 70 years, a message from CERN's Director General on the significance of the anniversary, and my own reflections on the celebrations
