A collection of qubits coupled to an optomechanical environment in the weakly interacting regime*

The interaction of qubits with multiple bosonic modes lies at the heart of delivering the promises of the second quantum revolution. Recent developments in quantum optics, optomechanics, and super conducting circuits open up intriguing possibilities for realizing coupling between qubits, phonons, and photonic degrees of freedom. Quantum transduction of optical photons from microwave regime has been realized experimentally, thereby providing an exciting platform to study effective interactions between superconducting qubits mediated by optomechanical modes. We consider a collection of qubits coupled to an optomechanical environment and study special qubit-phonon-photon hybrid states. Specifically, we report our theoretical progress in understanding interplay between qubit-phonon and phonon-photon coupling.
