Understanding how thermal gradients affect skyrmion lattices (SkLs) is essential for developing skyrmion-based technologies. We have used small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) to investigate the high-temperature (~58 K) skyrmion phase in Cu₂OSeO₃ under a radial thermal gradient. By applying heat to a disk-shaped sample through a centrally positioned heating element, we demonstrate rotational control of the SkL, with the rotation direction dependent on the magnetic field orientation. An array of temperature sensors were attached to the sample to precisely determine the temperature profile. Furthermore, both time resolved and spatially resolved measurements were performed in part to determine the relationship between the rotational velocity of the SkL as a function of the local thermal gradient. In this presentation, I will discuss the rich dynamics and interplay between controllable thermal gradients and a SkL.
